Elizabeth Jane Hurley was an English actress, model and television personality who rose to fame in the 1990s when she became Hugh Grant's girlfriend. Hurley has been a part of Grant in his role, which was then being the focus of media attention worldwide due to the box-office success of Four Weddings and a Funeral in Los Angeles. Her dress was designed by Versace had a plunging neckline and gold safety pins. Hurley has enjoyed a thriving career but her association to Estee Lauder cosmetics is the most notable. Hurley was granted the first model contract she was offered at age of 29, and has used her model for Estee Lader's cosmetics since 1995. Her best known cinematic work was in the role of Vanessa Kensington in Mike Myers' hit spy comedies International Man of Mystery (1997) as well as Austin Powers The Spy Who Shagged Me (1999). Hurley is an actress and designer for the Beachwear Line. Perry's first attempts to be famous in the mainstream did not succeed. Perry has been signed by 2 different record labels, but she resigned before releasing any of her music. In 2007 however Capitol Records put out Perry's EP Ur So Gay which attracted modest attention for its cheerfully playful title track. Perry made more of a splash several months later with the single I Kissed a Girl an assertive ode to sexual curiosity backed by a sharp electro-pop beat. I Kissed A Girl became immediately a hit but it soon sparked controversy. Critics argued that it encouraged sexual relationships between gay and straight men, however others believed that the scene which was depicted on the album appealed more to male fantasies. I Kissed a Girl, the combination of excitement with a sophisticated tune, allowed I Kissed a Girl to be a top-rated hit in a variety of countries, and to drive sales for her album One of the Boys. With its bouncy sharp-tongued 2nd single Hot N Cold also proving popular the album much of the songs Perry created herself ultimately registered sales of more than three million copies in the United States.
